TAMARACK IS LOOKING FOR BILLET HOSTS! 

Billet hosts are local residents who are willing to open their homes to artists for the duration of the festival (4-5 nights). Billeting is an opportunity to meet wonderful people and support the festival in a tangible way without donating a cent! As a token of gratitude, billet hosts will be given all-access passes to the festival and treated to a takeout dinner from their favourite local restaurant. Interested but unsure what to expect? We will support you through every step of the billeting process! By welcoming an artist into your home, you make it possible for us to bring more incredible arts professionals from across the province to work at the festival.

​WHO WILL BE LIVING IN MY SPACE? WHAT DO THEY EXPECT FROM ME?

A number of artists are travelling from North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay (and even further!) to work with us at the festival. These are professional artists who will be busy at the festival for most of their time with you and are simply looking for a clean, safe, and welcoming place to sleep at night. They may need some room in the fridge but they are not expecting a maid service!

WHAT DOES A BILLET SPACE LOOK LIKE?

• It could be a private apartment (e.g. an in-law suite) OR it could be a private bedroom in a homeowner’s home with access to a shared cooking and living space.

• It could be walking distance to the Timmins Museum and Timmins Library OR it could be further away if parking is provided.

• It should include internet access.

• It should include basic furnishings, bedding and linens. 

• It could include access to laundry facilities.

If you are away during the festival, let us take care of your house and billet one or more of our team!

DO YOU HAVE AN RV SITTING IN YOUR YARD?

Many of our artists would be thrilled to occupy that RV for the duration of the festival!
